Not to mention the photo record of the various construction sites.. or lack thereof. You would think such an undertaking would be highly documented..

Wood and plaster, put up only for a party, millions of dollars lost, destroyed soon after. Only problem, some of the „temporary structures“ are still standing over 100 years after. Chicago Museum of Science and Industry, there is a plaque i read my self when i was there. It dead ass says, „This building was originally constructed of crude material but it was so well liked, we replaced every piece, one at a time until the stone building remained.“

Buildings like this are found in nearly every country on the entire planet. I tell people this and they don’t believe me, so what I do is Google a random country and add „historic buildings“ and then ask them to guess where it is.
They never guess it correctly and are surprised every time.
And no one can explain why. It’s a rabbit hole most people aren’t ready to go down, but it’s a massive factor in why the world is currently the way it is.
