      It disturbs me to know a 16 year old is capable of such violence. It disturbs me even more that the punishment is likely going to be lax given her age, given our justice system

      Ah awful. I had been hoping she’d pull through but i couldn’t imagine what living with the aftermath of such a brutal attack would look like. Very hard on her family and her little girl. RIP Scarlett x

      Horrific assault and now murder. I hope the Gardai can build a case to deliver justice for her and her family. RIP.

      This is incredibly sad and hard to believe that a 16 year old could cause such destruction. I feel so, so bad for those who loved her.

      We need serious community and youth work to engage with lots of groups in Ireland. We need to have a no tolerance approach to this type of violence.

      I saw a video of the attack and it was shocking, I can’t understand how anyone can be so evil. Literally beating her skull into the road

      I really hope the attacker is put away for a long time and given serious psychiatric treatment. RIP
