      I don’t know anything about blockades. If a ship tries to pass, will the US Navy fire at them? Like they will sink merchant ships?

      So…. just to recap: the strait was open a few weeks ago and now it’s being blockaded by TWO countries.

      This administration has done more for my understanding of cults than any documentary I’ve watched or Wikipedia article I’ve read.
      Dude literally promised to end all wars on day one, lower the price of everything, deliver more jobs than ever before and make everyone richer than they’ve ever dreamed of.
      Instead he just gave everyone a giant golden shower and they’re all complimenting his aim and asking if they can donate more money to make him feel better.

      Tough guys who aren’t afraid to tell it like it is and aren’t afraid of the woke police saying “of course I love his administration and most of what he’s doing, but I don’t know about this…. My store has gone out of business, I can’t afford my electricity or gas now, and I’m afraid that things are just going to get more expensive.”

      He even changed his cadence and started sounding more like the fucking heavens gate videos.

      So Centcom and the President are directly contradicting each other. Totally normal.

      They are 100% going for the financial enforcement, that is, insurance companies removing coverage (which effectively prevents ships from moving around and reaching ports). Except China has been building a parallel insurance infrastructure, so they don’t care about Lloyd’s and they don’t need Western banks to process the transaction in dollars.

      If China decides a VLCC full of crude is sailing through that strait regardless of what the US Navy says, good fucking luck trying to stop a supertanker that requires kilometers to steer. It either goes through (and the blockade is exposed as unenforceable against anyone who matters 🤡) or a destroyer gets ordered to fire at it and now a nuclear power has the right to defend itself.

      My tinfoil hat theory is Trump is trying to get one of his ship’s sunk so he can justify a full scale invasion. You don’t do something as recklessly stupid as this unless you actively want your own to die.

      I thought that United States is the Land of the Free, but it turns out the only thing that is „free“ about United States is „FREE to be on the wrong side of history“.

      Our country’s on the opposite side of the world and we have to cope with what your tanned clown in the Oval Office whims every time NYSE opens up.

      This is getting tiresome.
