      It is sad, but you can save $3 if you pay directly instead of using the App Store

      I still think it’s worthwhile at that price. Half of the revenue from this program goes to the creators you watch. I don’t have any gripe with people who use ad blockers but you have to concede that it hurts the creators as much as it hurts Google.

      I thought I would never cancel premium but here we are in 2026 and I just did that. The last sub I have is tidal and a VPN. YouTube was hanging there because I watch the crap out of it at work and at home. But I can’t justify 16 bucks a month anymore even if it gets 8 some hours of use a day. The search feature is garbage. It replays videos all the time. The user interface overall is worse than it was ten years ago… 16 bucks a month is a lot of money for a service that doesn’t make anything on its own and just provides the interface and servers for content created by others.

      I cancelled my YouTube premium yesterday, mainly because of this announcement, but also I wanna see if the ads will help me reduce the amount of time I spend on it

      Maybe it’s time to retro fit my truck with a CD player. I’m so tempted to just remove every streaming service, at this point.

      I have to wonder….what is my limit? Youtube Premium is the best value I’ve gotten out of any subscription. Eventually they’re going to surpass it at the rate they’re making these price hikes.

      I dislike the fact that Apple may very well get rid of iTunes and just make Apple Music, and its subscription, the only way to access and “buy” music.

      It hasn’t happened yet and it may not, but it could, and there are rumors.

      I have an Apple One subscription and I like it because it’s a pretty decent value. But if they flat out remove the option for me to unsubscribe and just flat out buy my music and movies and other content, I’ll unsubscribe out of spite.

      This can’t continue. We have got to do something. We can’t get enough to leave en masse, but we need to. We gotta hurt the pockets of these greedy fucks.

      Is there a way to watch with screen off on iPhone? I’m on the go at my job and it’s a big reason why I still pay for it.
