Blocking motorways, oil refinery in Cork, the ports, city streets all blocked with tractors, trucks, men.

Im quite confused. I understand the fuel protests But I’d like to know more about these politicians outside of the government, and what specifically others countries interest in protesting for Ireland is?

Edit: I read that wrong, you said counties. I wish you the best there, this is interesting

And I say to my people’s masters: Beware, / Beware of the thing that is coming, beware of the risen people, / Who shall take yet what ye hold so greedily. / Did ye think to conquer the people, / Or that Law is stronger than life and than men’s desire to be free? / We will try it out with you, ye that have harried and held, / Ye that have bullied and bribed, tyrants, hypocrites, liars!“

These protests were actually sparked by fuel shortages and price hikes.

  6. I do understand why the protests, but it’s affecting many people that can’t get to work, and emergency services that might not be able to get to real emergencies in a decent time.

I know people will think I’m just an American and don’t know what I’m talking about, but I was born in England to an Irish mother and I’ve lived there on three separate occasions, and my parents and siblings still live in Waterford and Cork respectively.

Waterford was almost out of fuel as of yesterday and protesters were blocking fuel trucks from leaving oil refineries.

  7. There is no petrol because of Trump. Let’s all blame the Irish government and demand they fix things.

Did the Irish government actually do anything worthy of being protested against?

Do you think the government is not desperately trying to get oil delivered as fast as possible?
