      Having a mentally unstable leader disappearing people off the street, starting wars of aggression on behalf of other countries, crashing the economy, actively covering up the crimes of himself and his epstein buddies and using his presidency as a giant pump and dump scheme tends to do that to people

      For over a decade all we’ve been served is “Trump did this dumb ass thing an hour ago.” Over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. I just want to live a boring life where I don’t have to constantly be worried that Donald Trump of all people is making my life worse every second of every day.

      I think the hatred that has been stoked by Trump has also led to the decline in morale in the U.S. Families are fighting and becoming estranged over politics, racial tensions are high. People are having their basic needs jeopardized. A bullying mentality is rampant in the U.S. thanks to our bully in the White House. Immigrants, and even Hispanics who were born here, are being racially profiled and have to fear leaving their house, or they could be stopped by armed thugs and put in detention centers or even deported based on nothing but their skin color. Many people fearing they will be laid off and not able to find work. The damage Trump has done in so many ways in just a year’s time is mind boggling.

      I’m not ok. The future of half of our country is poverty. Between inflation and weakening dollar. We’re heading towards another Great Depression and the best option for educated people is going to be to leave.
      I can not imagine any scenario where I can retire living in the United States. My 401k is worth around half a million, 10 years ago there was hope that could allow me to survive with social security. Now the best I can hope for is 10 years of retirement ending with acute lead poisoning before I become homeless from medical debt.

      A steady Linear decline started with Reagan. Neither party has seemed the interested or competent in stopping the decline. Hopefully Trump’s parabolic worsening is just the death rattles of the dying cult of hyper capitalism. Profits over people has destroyed the American dream for most of the US and killed/exploited a shitload of people around the world.

      Yeah, we’re not okay for sure – having nutbars run the country a 2nd time was a terrible idea.

      Republicans will let the country fall apart rather than admit they’re wrong.

      This is all because of ignorant pride and a fat false idol with orange face paint and bad hair.

      Any semblance of fairness and equality for all has been destroyed. The rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer, and our taxes are going to benefit a few instead of benefitting the public at large. Our safety nets (social security, Medicare) are being gutted as is the post office. Inflation is high due to choices (tariffs and war) and layoffs abound.

      No surprise. When you have the absolute worst president of all time, he does everything wrong and causes a lot of problems. He fixes nothing, and destroys everything. Congress has the power to do something, to impeach and convict, but so far the republicans remained in the pocket. People are suffering.

      I spent a week in the UK and it took me a couple days to get used to just how calm and normal and actually polite everyone was.  

      Then I came back here and went to the grocery store and so many people are on a hair trigger, Jesus Christ.

      An important part of living in a free country is not having to wake up every goddamn day and defend yourself or your family or friends or community from your own government!

      Trump is—more than almost anything—*insufferable and exhausting.*

      He’s the highest-maintenance, attention-whore President we have ever had, and it’s not even close!

      Every day—some days every HOUR—he needs your attention and fealty. America (and the world) have been in an „all hands on deck“ state of emergency for our economy, our laws, our international credibility, our political and family relationships, our national identity … for a *full decade.*

      All so some useless asshole can golf and feed his narcissism.

      Please, America, I’m begging you to help us be done with him.

      It’s in a free fall, half the country is still wholeheartedly unaware. 1/4 is cheering because they voted for chaos. 1/4 is trying to explain to everyone else we have so much further to fall before we are anywhere near the bottom. Even if Trump goes away tomorrow, the holes they have punched in our government aren’t getting repaired for decades.

      Fewer civil and social rights, higher costs of living in every area, reduced social and economical freedom, weaker safety nets, weaker science education and cultural relevance, and the leader cant even go one day without making an ass of himself.

      I had the opportunity to leave this country back in 2006-2007 and I really regret staying here

      All of our futures are in jeopardy because of the Trump regime. Many of us are not going to survive the rising cost of living combined with the destruction of the social safety net. Targeted groups are living in fear, Americans are being labeled as extremists, everything good and decent in this country is being attacked, and the daily news is filled with tales of atrocities and injustices.

      There’s no way I can have any sense of well-being living in this reality.

      Everybody describes MAGA as a „death cult“ (which it is).. but it’s also a „retribution“ and „vindictiveness“ cult. MAGA’s whole thing is „If I can’t get what I think I deserve, I’ll burn everything down just to ensure nobody else gets what they want.“

      What’s that paraphrasing thing I’ve always seen people say:.. „Democrats will ensure everyone gets to eat even if some don’t deserve it. Republicans will take food away from everybody if they think even 1 person doesn’t deserve it“.

      That’s MAGA’s whole thing.

      We (normal sane people) are „not OK“.. because we’re trying to live in a world where a small percentage of rule-breakers are just randomly going around shitting in every public pool (with little to 0 accountability).

      No shit, we’re „not OK“. It’s hard to continue to be a good person and work a hard job for minimum to 0 gains,. when all the news around me shows me headlines of criminals making Billions and committing crimes against children and who will likely face 0 accountability. ; .. Meanwhile if I so much as miss a monthly rent payment I could be out on my back homeless.

      I guess the Republican solutions of slapping random tariffs on consumer goods, picking fights with people who control the flow of 20% of the world’s oil, and gutting what few safety nets we have might not be the social panacea they thought they would be. /s
