Alright let’s make predictions. I will make my first two now and edit this comment as I go.

    1. Gaetan Malette, Conservative, Timmins-Kapuskasing-Mushkegowuk
    1. former forestry executive
    2. „During his political campaign and subsequent [parliamentary](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parliament) work, Malette has emphasized the importance of Northern Ontario’s [natural resource](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natural_resource) industries, particularly [forestry](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forestry) and [mining](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mining), and their [sustainable management](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sustainable_management). He has also focused on supporting economic development in [Indigenous](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indigenous_peoples_in_Canada) communities, addressing regional infrastructure challenges, and advocating for measures to alleviate the rising cost of living, including housing and food affordability, for residents of his riding.“ screams Liberal
    2. Jim Belanger, Conservative, Sudbury-Manitoulin-Nickel Belt
    1. Ran for the Liberal nomination in 2015
    3. Joel Godin, Conservative, Portneuf-Jacques Carter (thanks to the guy under me)
    1. Threatened to leave if Poilievre won the leadership
    4. Scott Aitcheson, Conservative, Parry Sound-Muskoka
    1. Has always been more moderate
    2. former mayor
    3. pro-bipartisanship
    4. believes in federal support for broadband in underserved communities
    5. Eric Melillo, Conservative, Kenora-Kiiwetinoong
    1. Young
    2. Hasn’t been on Twitter popping off at Gladu

    Pierre’s a fool, couple more forsure .

Him pushing MPs to parrot his reotric on their socail media is absolutely halirous .

Conservatives just need to split their party into two- one for the blatantly openly racists, and one for the moderates.

Floor crossing wouldn’t be happening if Pp wasn’t who they are.

  4. With how the liberals have moved a bit to the right under carney and the Conservatives have moved future to the right to appeal to the maple MAGA voters I have noticed a lot of my family who were full on hard core conservatives for their entire lives have shifted to voting liberal

They hate P.P, they hate the identity politics and social issues they keep trying to make the centre of their politics…. They care about the economy not how people want to live their lives

  5. It will be fascinating to watch the next CPC leadership race if Poilievre steps down. The last one was a foregone conclusion and it was never in doubt that Poilievre would win in a landslide. The next one would require a real debate about the future of the party and what direction to take it. Given there is no frontrunner or really even seriously rumored candidate it could be a very interesting race.

  6. Scott Aitchison is one I have wondering about. Former mayor of Huntsville. Moderate.

Jim Belanger was speculated to be a floor crosser but denied it. After Gladu, I’m not ruling anyone out and Sudbury and area isn’t usually Con territory. We’re Liberals federally, provincially NDP.

    Any Conservative in Quebec.

I think it was JD Bellavance from La Presse who says we should pay attention to Saskatchewan suggesting the polls are shifting and Moe has been pleased with Carney on trade. All of Northern Saskatchewan are solid CPC ridings but there was a story about Randy Hoback preparing a 100 page trade document that PP promptly ignored. So I’m putting him in the Gladu- anything is possible camp.

I genuinely can’t think of a better capstone for PP’s time as CPC bully-in-cheif then his party jumping ship and disintegrating out from under him. Chef’s kiss, this is a genuine gift to Canadians. Seeing him leave utterly humiliated and universally despised as a truly awful leader is almost worth having to have put up with his bullshit for so long.

  9. Genuine question for Liberals on this sub: are there any Conservative floor-crossers who you would find problematic if Carney decides to accept them (after Gladu, even far-right MPs switching is not out of the question), at least for the long-term stability/viability of the party past 2028?

  10. I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the Atlantic based MPs cross. The conservatives in Atlantic Canada as whole are more red Tory than reform. And the Liberals polling in the region is reaching 60%. Those Newfoundland conservative MPs in particular must feel very vulnerable.
