It looks like OP posted an AMP link. These should load faster, but AMP is controversial because of [concerns over privacy and the Open Web](https://www.reddit.com/r/AmputatorBot/comments/ehrq3z/why_did_i_build_amputatorbot).

Maybe check out **the canonical page** instead: **[https://www.cbsnews.com/news/boy-found-locked-in-utility-van-since-2024/](https://www.cbsnews.com/news/boy-found-locked-in-utility-van-since-2024/)**

    2. And people ask me why the need for a parenting license.. I hope both those motherfuckers end’up in a cage for the rest of their lives. And whoever else was involved(like school workers) should join them as well, it’s quite strange they didn’t notice the boy went missing.

    3. Sometimes I read news like this and think death penalty should be brought back

Horrific. I can only hope the little boy receives much help to recover. I know a neighbor finally called but I wonder about other neighbors. One day a 7 year old boy disappears. There are noises and the father says it’s a cat. In two years no one else thought about it? Maybe we are too respectful of privacy sometimes.

    5. I wouldn’t have let a cat be treated that way for even a day, much less two years. I would’ve been kicking up shit about it daily until eventually taking matters into my own hands to enter the van. Not questioning it for two years?

Neighbors should all be considered accomplices and have it follow them for life. “It takes a village” to raise a kid, just as much as it takes a village to allow them to be neglected to this extent. The whole village should be ashamed.
