„The move was not coordinated with Iran“ – Uh so it begins?
This report has already been demented by Iran
They quickly fucked off when iran told them to
Wouldn’t be surprised if they ordered those ships to go through just to be able to claim that ships are going through.
Nobody should care until full tankers(U.S.) go through and insurance companies agree to cover them. Until then, it’s all for show and the straight is still closed.
Axios is Trump’s mouthpiece…the source has already been regarded as doubtful
Apparently, the Iranians notified the US that they will take action unless the ship reverses course.
> A U.S. Navy destroyer headed towards the Strait of Hormuz was issued an imminent threat by Iran on Saturday amid the fragile two-week ceasefire tentatively agreed to between Washington and Tehran, the Hindustan Times reported.
>
> “Any US military vessel crossing the Hormuz Strait will be attacked within 30 minutes,” reads a warning directed at the U.S. Navy destroyer, according to the Hindustan Times and other foreign media outlets.
>
> Axios reporter Barak Ravid claimed on Saturday that U.S. warships had “crossed” the Strait of Hormuz earlier that morning without issue, citing an unnamed “senior U.S. official,” the “first time U.S. warships have crossed the Strait of Hormuz since the war began.” Later, Ravid claimed – again, citing an unnamed senior U.S. official – that the United States had “not received any threat from Iran to attack the ships.” (via RawStory)
The Hindustan Times then reported that the US ship had reversed course.
>US military ship turns back from Hormuz route after Iran’s 30-min warning
(I don’t know if these are credible reports or not, I’m not familiar with the veracity of the Hindustan Times)
Iranian bootlickers coping. An attack on an american warship in the middle of a so called ceasefire would make trump blow up their country
> Several U.S. Navy ships crossed the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday, a U.S. official told Axios.
> Why it matters: The move was not coordinated with Iran. It is the first time U.S. warships crossed the strait since the beginning of the war.
> – The operation was aimed at increasing confidence for commercial ships to cross, sources say. It came as peace talks between the two sides kicked off in Pakistan.
> – „This was an operation that focused on freedom of navigation through International waters,“ the U.S. official said.
> Driving the news: The official said the Navy ships crossed the strait from east to west to the Gulf, and then made their way back through the strait to the Arabian Sea.
> – The Iranian government reportedly called the crossing a ceasefire violation and threatened to attack the ships, per state media reports.
> – A U.S. official says the U.S. received no such warning.
Why am I not shocked the US did this right when peace talks started? Trump and co. wouldn’t know how to be diplomatic even if the personified concept of it walked up and kicked them all in the balls.
Interesting given what was reported just yesterday:
* Iran Unable to Find Mines It Planted in Strait of Hormuz, U.S. Says. The lost mines have prevented Iran from quickly complying with President Trump’s demand to allow more ships to pass through the waterway.
https://www.nytimes.com/2026/04/10/us/politics/iran-mines-strait.html
The US sails the Strait and then back out without coming under attack. That was the entire mission.
Iran is unable to attack it because 1. attacking a vessel transiting an internationally used waterway in the middle of peace talks is bad 2. actually sinking a US vessel would actually ensure Trump commits to destroying Irans energy and transportation infrastructure.
Trump is saying this and Axios is quoting unnamed personnel.
First and foremost, Trump is a liar. No one should believe anything he says unless it’s independently confirmed by a reputable source, which Axios is not.
Also, if Iran lets american ships through, aren’t they worried that they are carrying ground troops? I just don’t see it happening with no pushback from Iran.
Iran ain’t doing shit anyway
They’re going to crash a 2 dollar drone into this billion dollar ship and decommission it, republicans will say the ship was built under a dem admin so it’s bidens fault?
Epic.
Wait until they find one of those mines!
Game of Mouse Trap.
That’s what you can’t keep good generals. You have to have someone in leadership who doesn’t care about losing millions and killing thousands.
