If you had to choose one of the best places to live on the planet, it’s great.
I generally don’t have any interest in moving to or living in a non-Anglo country or learning another language but I’ll be willing to make an exception for Norwegian.

We have a lot more big towns than Norway (basically the whole bottom half). Well, big by our standards. We have a lot of 100k+ towns in comparison to them.

That’s curious, don’t these northern most regions stand to gain trade by joining? Haven’t standards of living increased for them since joining?

IIRC one of the reasons for menu Norwegians choosing not to join was because they viewed EU fishing and environmental regulations as laxer than Norwegian ones.

IMO, that margin of a win is not big enough for such a big decision; stuff like this should require something like 70% in favor to make such a major change.
