      It’s all kicked off in Whitegate; it’s a shame that it resulted in this but they crossed a line

      Will be lots of truckers in East Cork with no licences and with criminal records now. Hope they have good savings. 

      They have had every chance to stop blocking critical infrastructure. Holding the rest of hostage, and not a coherent thought amongst them.

      Feel sorry for the children in rural Ireland who won’t be getting some busses to school next week because the cost is so high to operate them. Here’s to more of an increase in inflation and basic goods I guess!

      EDIT: all the downvotes lmfao at least we know who won’t be affected by that.

      About time.  Half the country is without fuel and emergency services are being curtailed.  It’s beyond time that the blockades are lifted

      This protest has changed the course drastically over the last two days, with one of the ring leaders owing the Revenue €550k, and animal rights abuse, and the other one made comments about Greta Thunberg and Muslims. Sounds like lovely bunch of men.

      When did these entitled people with no jobs, get a degree or know how the world/economy works in which they can have a say in what is allowed to pass through their blockades.

      Don’t you dare push us. We will push back 10x harder. How about no fuel for months??? Let’s see how the government likes that. In the space of a week a whole new portion of the country has gone from being ok with FF and FG to being completely opposed to them. Can’t wait for the next election!       I’m astounded of how little support the protesters are getting on here. They very much represent the majority of people I have spoken with and are being lauded by the general public in their actions.
      A heavy handed response by Gardai will only serve to escalate the situation and increase the support base.
      This government is teetering on the brink and they don’t even know it.

      These ghouls have somehow managed to both overplay their card and never actually have a card in the first place. They had every chance.
