I listened to a blog today with a former CIA analyst who was in Ukraine in February. He said one of the serious peace plan ideas is to create this DMZ that is free of both militaries, but also a tax free zone.
Putin will plant his “little green men” there to control it as “civilians”, and also to pay them in land, rather than cash bonuses.

I really think Ukraine should do the same… Appeal to every stateless or oppressed people who dont have a country of their own. They are often already involved in combat or have experience of it. Ukraine could offer them a country of their own, if they can help to win against russia. Kaliningrad, the caucuses, stolen from others already.

The Krelim is running out of money. Most of the war participants will be killed in battle so they don’t need to get paid with occupied land.

Why would Russia give up land to participants in the SMO if Russia was trying to “liberate” the Russians in the area? Why would Russia give away “Russians” land owners that needed liberating? Seems like they are running out of bonus money and this is the only incentive they have left.
