No, Starmer will be remembered for his total inability to connect with the public and the biggest Labour loss in a generation.

You know what, I’d like some fucking good news for once.
Since I started working about 20 years ago we had a financial crisis, endless austerity and cuts, Brexit, Tory corruption, covid and now a crazy orange pedo ruining life for everyone because yanks can’t admit that pedos are bad.
When will it fucking end!!!

It should be the end of his career at the very least. He has repeatedly lied about our involvement in this war and went missing entirely when Trump threatened to end the Iranian civilisation for ever. Completely unfit to lead the UK.

Honestly, unlikely, people’s political memory is that of a goldfish. The amount of shit that happened 4 years ago and that people just forgot in 2024, is astounding.

I thought it was the last conflict in Iran that defined us for a generation? What generation are we talking about here?

Usual bollocks from politicians, do we all remember when they kept saying “ build back better” during Covid .. ( including current and last few pms) .. and we have slid down since

Every generation has been defined by something. It’s quite exhausting. Basically it will always be the same. Rich get richer, poor get poorer, and government blame on current thing.

The world is addicted to war. I feel like the current crisis is nothing but the latest example of the powerlessness the average person feels when faced with the global situation. My moment of devastation really was Tony Blair’s flagrant disregard for public opinion when choosing to go into Iraq and overstate the nation. The fact he was given the title of peace envoy to the Middle East was the cherry atop a large cake made entirely of shit. Everyone is aware of the critical moment we are facing right now with nothing but corruption and mismanagement so prevalent and entrenched that even those who strive to make change are mocked as fantasist’s.
The “solace” we should all take is that this era truly is quite a spectacle to behold. It’s black and white. We must change as a global race or we really are all going face a full blown rapid apocalyptic collapse that’s already begun. That’s that.

*’Iran conflict to define us for a generation‘, says Starmer*
I know he is trying to be relatable to voters, but he does come out with some nonsense at times.
Unless this goes on for many more months it will be an inconvenient blip. Trump and his madness will be longer lasting – and hopefully that won’t ‚define us for a generation‘.
9/11 did make major changes, Covid did as well (huge costs to Govt, massively increased WFH etc).
Ukraine, which has been much bigger than Iran, is significant – but hardly ‚defining us for a generation‘.
Climate change IS likely to define us in the next 30 years – but apart from trying to trying to go to net zero for carbon emissions, I don’t see the Govt making serious plans for the impacts climate change will have on us – stop building on floodplains, more reservoirs, better drainage for heavy rain / flash floods etc.

Have we not already been defined by a conflict in the middle east? It was a bit larger too…

I’m pretty sick of our generation being defined every six months or so
him and his ilk are already defining us terribly and have been doing for generations
