      this is such a low bar, it’s not like the GG needs to be a genius or even competent; it’s a symbolic position; it shouldn’t be too hard to find someone with half a brain who speaks English and French

      No more reporters as Governor General, we’ve had two airheads this century. No poorly-vetted antisocial astronauts with a temper and no more unilinguals.

      David Johnston was the only Governor General of the 21st century fit to be a GG.
