Only $2 billion spent to size 25 hunting rifles? The brilliant banker strikes again!

39% of their goal, and 2% of the total estimated firearms affected were signed up for this program. I still haven’t had anyone explain to me how this program is supposed to reduce crime.

Well no, there isn’t really. The LPC have been pushing this for so long, so much political capital has been spent, so much good will burned, and so many palms greased. That any attempt to backtrack will be met with such backlash that the LPC will be left reeling.
Remember, this policy is for the LPC VIPs. For Poly and their prohibitionist a supporters. These interested parties, are what keep the LPC afloat. Appeasing them is vital for the LPC going forward.
For all of us, the plan looks dumb, but for those interested parties, targeting legal, vetted, gun owners *is* the plan. So this policy has to go ahead in order to retain their support. The LPC know this very well, the chance they reverse course is near zero.

They do not care how much money they spend. There are no examples demonstrating as such.

I’d probably vote Liberal if they did.

Money printer go BRRRRRRRTTTTTT unless you’re a ministry that actually needs funding to improve Canadian lives. It’s time to end this project of a lobby group and let Canadians use their property again.

What a waste. The problem is illegal US guns coming over the boarder.
