I don’t think china is going to throw away the edge they now have against the US. The world is literally starting to favor them and invading Taiwan now just wouldn’t be worth it imo.

Locking down a massive chunk of airspace for 40 days and just straight-up refusing to elaborate is insane work. The ’nothing to see here‘ vibes are deafening.
To be fair, if China ever wants to attack Taiwan; this is the best opportunity while USA is down and busy.

If China moves on Taiwan, what exactly is the US going to do about it? The answer in this moment, is nothing.
The US is distracted, unserious, and the political class in the US is completely self-absorbed with their own selfish ambitions. US politicians and the public don’t understand the history or significance as to why China and Taiwan are at odds, much less why Taiwan has evolved into a critical source lithography plants for advanced microchips.
China is likely doing the math tonight on if the opportunity is too good to pass up.
Trump would happily discard Taiwan as a welcome distraction from all of the other failures and fires he’s trying to deflect from.

Mainland China will never take back Taiwan by force. Because Taiwan is family. Unless Taiwan declares independence. I do not think Taiwan politicians would be that stupid. Mainland China will gradually absorb Taiwan back.

The blockade started March 27. It’s April 9 and they haven’t done anything yet. If they were gonna invade, why the delay?
