Easy for Mexico to do. It’s not as if they burn thru $40B in munitions a month like we do.

  2. That’s like all of Mexico, I wonder how the funding will go and what the quality will be. This should be interesting to see, I hope it goes well.

Like, for real for real? Or is this something where they just call it „Universal Heathcare“?

Sounds like a direct war threat to american health industry interests. I guess they need some freedom

    Or so would magas claim

  5. This is likely political talk by this regime.

Hospitals lack medicine, infrastructure is deteriorating, and the quality of healthcare service is low.

As a Mexican who lives in Mexico and has seen the state of its infrastructure, I have serious doubts this will work the way they think it will. This regime has a very bad track record when it comes to doing anything effectively.

  6. That’s awesome. We could do that, too. We *won’t*, but we could.

Instead, we’ll spend billions on stupid wars, continue funneling money to the top 1% of the 1%, and spend most of our time fighting each other over hot-button social/ cultural issues.

We need less „left vs right,“ and more down vs up.

  7. The things you can do with taxpayer money when you’re not invading multiple countries every year.

  8. I read the article and if that really happens with the first phase beginning next week this is fantastic and a life changer for the entire country.

I am happy for our neighbors to the south for this monumental achievement. A little jealous ngl

  10. I guess Mexico might have to start to control the border with the US, to avoid freeloaders…

  11. I think Mexico will eventually pay for the wall. But because they are the ones building it.

Guess now Mexico needs to build a wall to keep Americans out lol

We stuck 50yrs in the past here with no hope for change

  13. I want a president who makes these kinds of EOs. Good for her for trying to actually help her people.

  14. I just went to Mexico a couple weeks ago to get some dental work done.

Exam, x-rays, 4 fillings, and a bite guard (I grind my teeth at night) was $450. My friend said he got a JUST bite guard from a U.S. dentist a few years ago and it was $700.

FUCK U.S. healthcare. They are literally killing us.

  15. Even private healthcare is a fraction of the cost than America’s. Like no, insuling does not cost $300 to make and a hospital room does not cost $3000 a night.

  16. Mexican here. Not everyone is happy about this. The current health system is already strained. Very long wait times and many medications that are unavailable. And that was for workers that were paying into the system. Now adding everyone, even people who have never paid taxes, sounds like it is about to make things worse.

  17. As amexican this sounds good on paper and previous government had „free Healthcare“ for people that couldn’t afford it but since this new party (Morena) has been in power since 2018,they have been cutting funding from Hospitals and the current Healthcare care system, hopefully it works out but they need to do some serious funding and the country it is on debt as it is right now.

  18. The Danish healthcare system we were promised since previous presidency. I’m sorry but everyone here is only setting themselves for dissapointment.

  19. secretlyjudging on

Too bad USA can’t afford that. Only putting 1 trillion every three months on national debt. No sirree. Can’t afford it at all.

  20. We can’t afford healthcare here in America. We’ve got wars to pay for that distract Americans from the Epstein files, what happened to the tariff money, the tariff refunds and the oil money from Venezuela. Also the tax cuts on social security, what happened to those?
Why are we fighting Iran in the first place?
