      OK, so this means nothing. Hezbollah is not going to disarm just because Lebanon’s government (which has the mentality of a beaten wife and just sits there taking Israel’s blows without defending itself) asks it to.

      Not Hezbollah.
      There lies the issue.
      It cannot and will not happen because as long as Hezbollah exists, it will not be possible for Lebanon to ever make a peace deal with Israel.
      Lebanon’s army and security forces do not have a monopoly of arms in Lebanon and the non-state actor is armed with more powerful arms than them by Iran.
      So this is not happening until Hezbollah is dismantled.
