Industrialization in Azerbaijan was centered around oil, so the rise of oil production in the 1920s was caused by rapid development of the country’s energy infrastructure. By 1930, the country reached pre-WW1 levels of oil production, and Azerbaijan’s overall oil production peaked during WW2 in 1941. That peak was not surpassed until the launch of Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli oil field in 2005.
That “comment” came from “Cənab” before AZN devaluations in 2015.
