  1. As a European, we see him as a threat when he constantly threatens to annex his former NATO partners‘ land

  2. That’s because we are. Didn’t we all know this already? That’s what a superpower is. The ‚power‘ in that word isn’t referring to the power of hugs.

I mean it’s not like Trump threatened to take Greenland by force, tariffs the hell of out the EU, throws childish tantrums on his social media about how weak EU is, and plunges the world into a financial downturn

Yeah I really can’t imagine why. Screw all these inbred hick MAGA supporters

  4. Exact_Patience_9767 on

Don’t be a threat to Europe, Trump. It’s where all your wives are imported from.

  5. Let’s see….. one country back tracks on all of their agreements, keeps electing insane geriatrics, has a government that completely backtracks on every policy every 4 years, has destabilized almost every country they have intervened in, tariffs the shit out of you if you say one wrong thing, and has religious lunatics running the show that give Iran and the Taliban a run for their money.

The other doesn’t get militarily involved, makes all of your shit, just wants to make trade deals, has grown economically are a tremendous pace so they are a far more lucrative trade partner, has a stable government able to make long term plans without risk of someone trashing it within 4 years, and lives by the motto of “Do Nothing. Win.”

It seems pretty obvious who is more dangerous.

As an Australian. I have always loved the USA. But Trump USA? Dangerous and crazy. Unpredictable and very nasty. I have NO FEAR of China. At the moment I’m more comfortable with China by far, then the USA.

European countries (NATO countries) spent 20 years in Afghanistan because USA requested it.

Then in november USA decides that EU is an enemy that must be destroyed and replaced with anti-democratic authoritarian leaders. USA then comes out voicing support for facist parties like AfD and Putins ally Orban while claiming that Ukraine and EU is interfering with elections.

Since not a single American is willing to stop Trump, imagine the shit he could cause if he decided to attack Europe militarily. The man who just threatened with annihilating an entire civilization continues without any consequences withiut anyone in Congress or the US military stopping him.

USA is actively working to destroy Europe snd they are not keeping it a secret.

I’d go so far as to say we also see the US as more of a threat than even North Korea.

  9. Duuuuh. Remind me, when did China last threaten to attack an EU member? And when was the last time the US did exactly that?

  10. destinationlalaland on

This is an awful headline, but pretty consistent with modern reporting.
Take a situation that isnt binary and present it as an either/or.

If the question had been “more immediate threat”, or even “greater threat” – I’d swallow my tongue and get on with resisting.
But under what sort of responsible journalism is it acceptable to frame the topic so it appears that one is a threat while the other isn’t?

  11. At the moment, the USA are absolutly the biggest threat to all countrys in the world including their ‚allies‘.

In the long term, I still see China as the more likely candidate, however, in the USA, the population, the economy and politics are working equally and intensively on it…

Europe and Taiwan turning to China as result of US warmongering would be the funniest thing to happen all century

  13. mrbasedballed on

They would be correct in thinking this. I see the US as more of a threat than China and I live in the US.

  14. As a Chinese it’s so mind boggling to think why Europe see us as a threat in the first place. Industrial competition maybe, but we never threatened Europe or posed any unfounded hostility towards Europe. To me, the one sided hostility is a direct result of decades of American control of Europe’s medias and political elites. It’s good to see Europe finally waking up and coming back to common sense. But who knows, maybe once Trump gone Europe will be America’s most loyal lapdog again

  15. Trump is consistently using every opportunity to enrich himself and make others pay for it, a. This was clear when he took Venezuelan oil.
Attacking Venezuela, threatened Greenland, Canada, Mexico, and Cuba. Attacked Iran. Imposed economic block, tariffs, on all countries.
It doesn’t benefit anybody in the US. Yet there’s still so many US citizens supporting him.

  16. I am saying it since declaration of tariffs. One year. More?

We should have taken it seriously. Agree with other countries and send USA into sh.ts. Put tariffs back with China, with Canada and all other countries. Show that that orange moron cant do anything he wants.

In 2 weeks he would get humiliated and would need to cancel the tariffs and for the majority of his term focus on home front.

    Shame.

  17. Fantastic_Ninja_5789 on

At this stage, every world leader must back BRICS and get out of G5-G8 and join BRICS and start the process for Solar alternative. Then see Orange clown piss his pants. Outside his diaper though.

  18. China is not threatening to annex Greenland or attacking other countries and expecting EU help after dismissing 20 years of help in Afghanistan and thousands of their dead soldiers.

  19. RechargeableOwl on

Agreed. The US is led by idiots, but there are fresh idiots yet to take to the stage. We need a divorce from the US and their ingrained madness.

  20. It’s simple observation. How many countries has China gone to war with since WW2 and how many people have they killed in foreign nations and now compare that to the US.

Sure I get annoyed with China consistently assisting nations that actively try to undermine the West. But I feel that’s pretty sub-par compared to the amount of influence the US is spreading. And under Trump, that influence has been strongly anti-west/democracy which is very concerning.

As an American I regrettably have to say they’re probably right. It is very sad and I don’t know what I can do as just one individual living in this country other than say that I’m sorry, though my apology is completely meaningless

  22. Every-Development398 on

Far enough given trump has been acting like the fucking baron harkonnen.

  23. professorbrainiac on

We see him as the traitor he is. It’s a shame the the US public is either too uneducated or too uninterested to realize what’s actually going on.

  24. So much shit has happened that people forget we started the year with Americans threatening to invade NATO territory

  25. Standard-Contest-949 on

Canada here. I see them as a terrorist country and can’t believe I have uttered those words.

  26. DesignatedDonut2606 on

    Absolutely.

US is making weekly threats of invading European territory and imposing economic measures to destabilize our economy.

As far as I know, China has never done so.
