The takeaway, as I see it, is that the more it comes out that Vance was against this folly, the more Trump is going to do to humiliate him. JD is not getting the keys to MAGA for 2028. He’s going to have to run as an outsider and likely tries to attach himself to Turning Point USA and Erika Kirk as his running mate. But he’s going to find himself continually marginalized in the White House with tasks to prove his loyalty. Trump is a petty person and this getting out to the public won’t sit well with his ego.

  2. I have to say even if there is this „peace“ agreement, I believe Israel will still keep attacking. Which will be another humiliation to Trump, as he cannot control them.

That “because it always is” line at the end of the article is haunting. It speaks to Trump’s entire hubris-filled life, always having a gigantic cushion stuffed with money so he could fall down over and over and everything would be fine. He has no fear of consequences. Why should he? He’s been weathering storms his entire life in a gilded bunker. This is a terrible mindset for the commander-in-chief to have. He simply doesn’t care how many people die.

Can we not with Daily Beast in this sub anymore?

Paywalled, and headlines that are totally out of pocket. It just isn’t informative, it’s chaff.

What about the humiliating revelations around being a child rapist and ringleader of a global child sex trafficking org?

love all the headlines that ascribe personality traits to trump that we can all see he plainly does not have.

The dude must have a humiliation Kink, because there’s no way you put yourself in this kind of situation accidentally.

  9. The NYT article had the trappings of CYA by at least Rubio, Vance and possibly Ratcliffe talking to Haberman on background with at least some intent to blame the disconnect on Netanyahu and Hegseth. Hegseth clearly is worried about his position because he’s been trying to oust Driscoll, who was Vance’s law school classmate and would be a strong contender for SecDef if Hegseth were removed, hence some of the generals being fired.

Congressional Republicans may carry water for a strategic victory or something like that, but they’re likely going to demand some kind of resignation for this, and this all seems primed for Hegseth to take the fall.

  10. The only thing that humiliates this man are pictures of his tan lines and hair piece.

  11. Ridiculous headline. Trump does not experience reality in a way that allows him to feel humiliation, or shame, or anything of the sort.

  12. > Leavitt reportedly reassured Trump that whatever direction he eventually chose, the White House press team would “manage it as best they could.”

So, nukes could be fired and the world burning, but it’s alright, Leavitt and her team will be there to lie about it?

    Release the Epstein files

    Israel is a terrorist organization

AI in a dumb fake bubble

. Teunp is stealing from the American people

Trump has lost the war with Iran, he created the problem by ripping up the nuclear deal in his first term.

    Trump and Israel are terrorists

Why post paywalled articles if you don’t even have the decency to copy the text into a comment? All you’re doing is posting a headline.

  15. Can Reddit deprioritize The Daily Beast posts on the news tab please? The rag gives false hope and assumes Trump actually feels humiliation like ten times a week.

  16. Can we stop posting Daily Beast? I’d like to read the articles but they’re always paywalled

Trump is a rapist and pedophile. He literally raped little girls. Republicans are enabling this regime.

Every fucking time I see „humiliated“ in a headline about him it’s an immediate signal of LAZY WRITING AND JOURNALISM. He is NOT humiliated, it is not possible to humiliate someone who has no shame. Has he ever, EVER, apologized for anything publicly? Said he made a mistake or admitted fault? Has he ever shown the slightest glimpse of a human soul, like values, regrets, introspection? Without humility, there can be no humiliation. Shame on all the editors that put this shit out there
