      I feel really bad for them. Most europeans don’t care about Taiwan and don’t want to anger China, and Trump is the worst ally someone could have.

      Their future is bleak.

      Taiwan is a democracy & at risk from China. I get the American angle but thought we would be more supportive of their quest to be independent & remain democratic

      It is in principle simple:

      * Self-Determination

      * Borders which define that basis of Sovereignty from the collective Demos of a a peoples shared will for this status together Kratos

      I see lots of tangents about “Aktually, Technically…”

      Stick to the basics and let those in power not abuse such power in dealing with “Liberty, Democracy, Humanity”.

      Taiwan still refers to itself as the Republic of China out of fear of China, so it’s not surprising that other countries also fear China.

      Just sanction every country in regards of chip access and watch them reclassify Taiwan as their own country. Problem solved. Sometimes our European governments are braindead too and need to be put into place.
