I work on climate change mitigation and carbon consuming alternatives to petrochemical production. All of my funding was pulled when Trump was elected and I was let go. A very limited number of people in the US is working on this problem seriously. I literally know all the scientists who would do this work and most have pivoted to working in healthcare, AI, or just quit science altogether/are unemployed.
