I think it might be very interesting to split it into regions down. I would guess that even in Finland the places where people want/need to live have risen. Some city’s and their surroundings will be far worse then most.

Title isn’t very accurate. Several significant European countries are not included in this dataset. It’s not even just EU countries as, for example, Greece has been omitted but Norway has been included.

Very interesting that Right-Wing American politicians have been traveling to Hungary for years to try and learn from Orban’s takeover of the country.

Fascinating how this isn’t all of Europe, unless Greece is suddenly not part of the EU (and Europe)?

Poland – the situation is fucked up. We are getting fucked from all of the sides – prices rising and loans being expensive, renting costing you 50% or more of your income.
Borrowed 120k euro for my 60m2 flat (does not include down payment). 30 years payment plan. With interest rates, it’s 280k euro that I will have to pay back. Yes, I can pay it off earlier if I want, but that’s not the point. Interest rates for housing loans are extreme here.
Some could say I could just rent something. Yes, but the loans monthly payment is lower than renting… renting in Poland is expensive.
Another thing is, foreign companies are buying for example thousands houses just to rent them. That just alone says a lot about the state of housing here. I have no idea why this is not being regulated and controlled more. Speculations and investments based on a roof over peoples heads is just fucked up.
