ss – Let’s be honest most people here don’t trust a word mainstream outlets say.

Bias, narratives, agendas that’s the general view.

But then the same outlets all push content about NASA and space and suddenly that’s treated as unquestionable. Any skepticism gets shut down straight away.

If the mindset is “question everything,” shouldn’t that apply across the board?

Why is it fine to challenge politics, news, and institutions but not space-related claims?

People will defend it instantly rather than even consider it might be off.

I mean, I haven’t had time to get out there to verify anything but I’ll put it on my weekend to-do list right after changing all my dead Ring batteries.

    3. I think it’s better to say „Critique and fact-check the media“ rather than „Don’t trust the media“

Not everything they say is false.

You just need to have a critical mind.

    4. All those media outlets posted about the Esptein files. Therefore Epstein is actually innocent and nothing happened on his islands. Correct?

    5. The only conspiracy here is someone attempting to blame the readers for the lies of the MSM.

News from NASA is a lot more reliable than news from the White House, under any administration to be fair

Because it touches the nature of reality itself. And people do not want to question that and put themselves into a cognitive dissonance so deep that they could encounter that their whole worldview could be false.
Right now people are used to arguing and seeing the arguments about elites, Israel & Palestine, right vs left, all those things, so most are ready to give their take. However, topics that touch cosmology (flat earth and/or other theories vs Big Bang & heliocentrism), life and mankind (creation by God vs evolutionism) are being programmed into the population from their birth. So touching those subjects implies that they could have been living their whole life in a false understanding of the world. Very few are ready to discuss that and even then they are not really given a platform to do this: shaming, insults, ostracism of all kinds are employed upon those who dare.

The most important questions of life:
      1. Who were are as humanity?
      2. Where did we come from?
      3. What is our future?

Are hard-controlled and indoctrinated from childhood into the population because if we have the answers that are wanted by the rulers then it’s not really important that we resist, as the resistance will not have any ontological basis to carry it through generations.

Because the conspiracy talking points are dumb:

      Photo looks too realistic: fake

      Photo looks too grainy: fake

    9. Yes, we have no idea what the true nature of outer space is. I suspect the Electric Universe (plasma) model is closer to the truth, but it could be a Limited Hangout too. We don’t even know if other „planets“ (wandering stars) are really like Earth.

    10. Imagine finding out world governments have been infiltrated and blackmailed by secret societies but still not being able to connect the dots as to “Why would they lie about the shape of the earth?” It’s staring at you in the face.
