Looks like Trump is setting up the fall guy for when this really blows up in his stupid face.
In Trump’s mind, the „truth“ is whatever he thinks it is. Doesn’t matter what Kegsbreath or anyone else tells him.
I mean, he literally created his own platform called „Truth Social“ for the sole purpose of type-screaming his own reality every day.

Why should anyone be surprised that Hegseth is not speaking the truth to the President? Trump appoints those who tell him what he wants to hear, not those who tell the facts as they are, so “being economical with the truth” is part of the job description for Trump’s appointees.

It is more than likely that ALL cabinet members only tell Trump what they think he wants to hear and not the truth about anything. This out of fear of losing their power and job.
