They all turned a blind eye to pedophilia/child trafficking, nothing surprises me anymore

Congress MIA? You mean GOP MIA.

Headlines like this is what gets low information voters to think both sides are equally culpable.

You’re the stupid one if you’re still saying „Where’s congress?! They won’t allow him to do that! It’s such a violation of the consitution-

    You have a dictatorship. Not a „step to.“ Not „coming.“ You’re here.

And no. You don’t get to just change your mind later.

  4. Is this why Zuckerberg has been building an underground bunker the last few years?

  5. Speaker Mike Johnson is Complicit in every action Trump has taken and will take in the coming hours.

    >Congress has not held a single hearing on the war, which has killed thousands of people, including more than a dozen U.S. service members, caused gas prices to spike, and led to Iranian attacks on U.S. allies throughout the Middle East, destabilizing the region. Republicans show no interest in getting involved.

Never has there been a more feckless GOP than the one seated now. They have ceded every single power they have to a man who is clearly insane.

  6. I really don’t get why people are focused on this, Republicans are afraid of Trump and under no circumstances will do anything to push back on him. It really doesn’t matter if they are in session or not.

  7. This is by design. Mike Johnson doesn’t get nearly enough scorn for being one of the chief enablers of fascism.

  8. Congress works less than half the year, with the House averaging 147 legislative days annually.

Senate members have slightly more legislative days, averaging 165 days each year since 2001.

While the rest of us work 250 days on average.

535 people in D.C. could shut this all down right now, they have the power to do it. However, it becomes more apparent by the minute that they have neither the conviction or the backbone to do the right thing. They’d rather let the whole body die than cut out the infection.

Na, if they dont stop this then Congress is genuinely the most worthless institution in our government. Theyre very clearly letting all of us know that they only represent their interests, not the people.

The entire point of Trump’s Congress is to not exist. They are consolidating power in the executive, the less they do, the more Trump wins. This is all by design

And why are they getting paid for not doing their jobs? They should be in an emergency session right now regarding the rhetoric.

  13. Pakistan has proposed a 2-week Iran ceasefire ahead of the Trump deadline…

Will Trump TACO Out? Trump did say this was the final deadline…

    Congress?

Nearly half of Congress would impeach Trump today.

Republicans are the problem, not „Congress.“

Ro Khanna was just on Reddit asking us why we think Republican representatives in power aren’t speaking up. Mods deleted the thread (I’m assuming because it was not an official AMA or because it was politics). So uh, that’s where one of them is.

Mike Johnson hasn’t heard a thing about this, but knows for sure Trump is the hardest working president in the history of our country. Nobody has seen anything like it.

Th whole system is screwed. Congress are cheats cheating the system and don’t want to standup against our dictator who will expose that they are cheating the system. Who suffers, the American people.

Anyone expecting to be saved by the senate has never seen Star Wars.

  20. Since everyone seems to have forgotten, the DHS is still shut down since the House Republicans refuse to pass the spending bill.

The threshold of high crimes and misdemeanors is clearly met. The house needs to get back into session and vote. Anyone who doesn’t vote in favor should never hold public office again. Same for the senate trial. We all know he’s guilty. Trump should be arrested and held in custody until the conclusion of the senate trial because of the danger he continues to be. His crimes warrant more than just removal from office. He should never see another day of freedom for the rest of his miserable life. Impeach and convict. That is how the story of the worst president of all time needs to conclude.

  22. Democrats should return to D.C. and force Republicans to come back by holding press conferences in front of the Capitol. Read the articles of impeachment. Take questions from reporters. List war crimes. Do it all, live, on camera.

  23. Single-handedly weakening a key branch of government in just one year is a really big accomplishment for Mike.

  24. KinkyPaddling on

**Republicans** are MIA. (Most) Democrats are working their butts off to stop Trump.

  25. Johnson just playing the probable deniabilityTrump card. He played so much no one believes he hasn’t seen hasn’t read anything negative or controversial about Trump

  26. Seriously! Not a peep from any of them all day except AOC? Where the fuck were they all day while Trump was theatening nuclear war????
