No surprise considering the posturing from Trump, in particular over the last week.

Now Iran is about to aim for every energy site in the gulf.

$200 per barrel coming up! The Houthi’s will now probably attempt to choke the Red Sea and Suez.

Surely this will calm things down and bring about a peaceful resolution to this conflict.

These megalomaniac’s are wrecking our way of life, a future of peace, order and understanding is being reversed by war, hate and greed.

I wonder.. for the cost of this war, we could have easily build a pipeline past the strait right?

    8. IceMysterious3056 on

Iran says its restraint is over… Israel escalates ahead of Trump’s TACO address. Great.

Oh well net zero will hit the world faster than people anticipate thanks to the two morons in Washington and Jerusalem

they’re going to fuck up everything in the region and we will all suffer for years.

    11. UpTheRiffMate on

They hit military targets on the island again, not the oil infrastructure – as the IRGC warned them not to. Just more sabre rattling

    12. Long_Cancel_7306 on

“The bombings will continue until you open the Strait which closed due to our bombings”

    13. This war is about to change the world for generations to come……. this was Irans line in the sand and any attack on Kharg island will been seen as a green light to bomb everything, nothing is off limits to them now.

Most of us are just trying to get by in life and wars like this hurt everday working people the most.

    14. Crude Oil is $3 short of the peak in 2022.

I’m guessing by end of day it will be way beyond that.

Good luck farmers. Good luck motorists. Good luck anyone that buys anything.

    15. Fucking great, now you can count in hours when the houthis are told to take part too and close their strait.
Better tank full today and bring some canisters also, as long as the gasprices are still „cheap“.
      Thanks, americans!

    16. What the fuck is going on? Is there anyone capable of stopping him already? He should be trailed and put into jail..

Irans going to hit every single oil refinery around now. Huge mistake for the USA/israel. Fucking idiots

    18. What is the US aim here? Generally speaking they can’t install a puppet most likely without ground forces or a country invading which doesn’t seem likely.

Bombing the heck out of Iran clearly isn’t working and the damaged down to their war machine clearly isn’t what we are being told given they are able to hit other targets with ease and withstand.

So either the intelligence is wrong (again), the US military isn’t as good or strong as we are told (shades of Russia here not gonna lie) and means their view as a power falls more – or this was known all along and Trump is ignoring the intelligence

If Iran continues to figure on countries around them I expect the US hopes they’ll join the war effort but it seems nobody actually wants to put themselves on the line at the behest of the US and most likely is going to turn those populations against the US (ergo th 90s/00’s all over again) – so the US is alone in a war far away from home

If the energy sites are hit then it will drag everyone into a global recession again because of the US. At what point do we start holding Trump accountable for this and the US?

I’m not at all suggesting Iran are innocent as a regimes or that we should allow them to develop Nukes – but this whole situation seems to have been caused by Trump himself and is affecting the entire globe negatively

I don’t see how he wins currently. But I can’t see him pulling back either

    19. Reports seem to have this attack allegedly originating from the Israelis which is interesting if credible. It sounds like the Israeli administration is realising that the Americans are desperate to try and extricate themselves from this mess, and they are pushing escalation to keep them embroiled.

That’s not an excuse for American stupidity, but it does mean trying to resolve this becomes even more difficult.

    20. dunkindonato on

No one wants to die because of the US’ hubris. That’s why almost everyone doesn’t want to send their forces to help even if the Iranian regime is deplorable. The US did not even inform its own allies of what they’ll do, plus Trump has been blasting their own allies for months leading up to this conflict.

They also do not seem to have a long term plan beyond bombing Iran and the IRGC. They did not even mobilize opposition forces to try and take over the country (as they did in Afghanistan).
