Submission statement: Iran has one of the largest Jewish populations in the region. This fact was not known to me or anyone I know and we discuss the Middle East conflict daily. Why is this information not being shared openly out here in the west? All gloves are off at the moment, and everything is now a target, including history.
Any time you need to ask something like ‚Why isn’t this fact well known?“ remember that a measurable percentage of Americans can’t even find America on a map.
Why would it shock you?
The Jews in Iran claim roots going back to the time of Cyrus the Great. The Bible calls Cyrus God’s chosen or a messiah to the Jews for rebuilding their second temple.
„Second largest“ sounds like a lot, but it is like 10000. Around 0.01% percent of the population, so practically nonexistant.

Christianity and Judaism has been in that region since their founding. Persia was really well known for not giving a fuck about religion so they were there for thousands of years lol

the Israeli soldiers you see have darker hair and skin tones, that’s because the politicians are ashkenazi and the soldiers are Mizrahi. Not all of them in either case, but a majority. There is also a large Christian population that freely practices in Iran. But you won’t hear that on the news.

Iran most welcoming country in the world, and on of the most beautiful.
I saw a video the other day of a street interviewer asking young Iranians how much is in their bank account? They were just normal looking people, many of them didn’t even look „Middle Eastern“, not that that matters. They had on modern, stylish clothes. They had good senses of humor. They had worries about paying their bills.
Point is, they spend fortunes trying to convince us that all these people just live in caves in the desert and herd sheep. And that’s not how it is…
There’s literally under 10,000 of them.

Iran population: over 90 million
Iran jewish population: about 10000
% of jewish population in Iran: 0.0001%
