  1. Not at all concerned is basically the slogan of this entire campaign rules, norms, laws optional, apparently.

  2. tempusrimeblood on

Of course he’s not, he’ll be dead of old age/poor health/following his inspiration before they can try him.

  3. Static-Stair-58 on

And yet his supporters flip their lids when we show derision toward him and his mob. You reap what you sow.

  4. InertiasCreep on

Why would he be concerned? He has SCOTUS to wipe his ass when he makes messes.

  5. There is no longer any moral highground.

the US is all in on Nihilism.

    We stand for nothing.

I know there’s still tons of people who support the president, and would support him no matter what. He himself has said “I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn’t lose any voters, OK?“ and he’s probably actually right about that.

War with Iran is looming, with civilians already being targeted (a university was bombed today), and he has clearly shown that men, women, and children on both sides can easily be used as collateral. If US citizens can be searched or detained (or deported or fatally shot) without a warrant as we’ve seen with ICE, I don’t think the lives of our armed forces will be valued by those giving the orders. No approval from Congress has been given or even asked. Soon our soldiers may have to make a decision to disobey direct orders or commit war crimes. He’s nearly single-handedly alienated our international allies earlier this year over threatening to invade Greenland and leaving NATO.

Last week he announced domestic programs will be slashed to pay for his war. Hegseth has removed a dozen generals in the last few days, presumably because they weren’t on board for a ground invasion of Iran. On Saturday Trump lined up religious leaders who compared him to Jesus. On Easter morning he’s saying he’s going to bomb a country into the Stone Age. Today he’s calling Biden a ret—d. Tomorrow will be worse because there are no consequences for what he does today.

He is a billionaire who has cheated on every one of his wives (including with a hooker when the current First Lady was pregnant with Barron). He has grifted and lied his way to the top, and now the DOJ that he has appointed has decided that a sitting president cannot be charged for anything. I don’t think anybody should be above the law, especially those in power. The founders of this country thought so too.

I know he talks a lot, but the times he’s talked about suspending elections or punishing peaceful protesters or going for a third term are the most worrying to me, those are plays straight out of Putin’s Russia or Jong Un’s North Korea. He’s said repeatedly how much he admires those tyrants, I really hope we don’t let him become the dictator he aspires to be.

I’m so tired of this, I’m sick of our country being powered by threats and idiocy and fear. I worry about us, and I worry about the world my kids will live in as they start to pay attention to how we have arranged it for them to deal with.

Why would he be, 1/2 the senate would toss his crusty salad… 2/3rds holding him to account is as likely as Melania getting in between those orange cheeks to join in

  8. >it will be the suckers and losers in the military that will be left holding the bag

  9. 00notmyrealname00 on

This is his MO. If you say he did something illegal, he denies it. If you push the issue, he sues. If you bring charges, he delays the whole thing until you run out of money or interest.

HE WILL NEVER FACE LEGAL CONSEQUENCES.

I would love to eat my words. But that’s not how the real world works.

  10. I genuinely think Trump gets off on the power of killing and maiming innocent people.

  11. genericusernamehere6 on

Anybody who still supports him at this point deserves to be held accountable for his actions right along side him. Ive ran out of sympathy for Anybody who voted for and supports this monster. You are part of the rotten cancer that caused this.

  12. DNAisjustneuteredRNA on

Of course not, he can’t be prosecuted for it if it’s „an official act.“

  13. For good reason, why should he be concerned? Nobody holds him accountable for anything, he literally can do whatever tf he wants.

  14. I mean what is the world going to do? Send him to the hague? If trumps taken out of power he almost certainly will be put away for life if he’s lucky, he’s probably murdered people already and the Epstein files show some very dark things he’s done so what’s a few more major crimes to him?

  15. throwaway20220717 on

Well so far, he’s gotten away scot free with sex crimes, high treason, other felonies, not to mention… war crimes

  16. He’s going to do what he wants, give JD power at the end, and give himself a pardon essentially. He’s a grifter and a crook.

  17. DutchShultz on

He’s not at all concerned about committing ~~war~~ crimes. Of any kind. Because he’s a criminal.

  18. He’s seen Putin get away with it in Europe and European countries have done nothing for 8 years in their own backyard. Europe ain’t crossing the Atlantic.

  19. The_Reverend_Dr on

    That’s alright buddy.

„We’re not at all concerned about impeaching, removing, convicting and imprisoning your ass for war crimes“.

  20. OldGaffer66 on

Just one more category of crimes he will get away with as far as he is concerned

  21. Why should he be worried, if nobody ever holds him accountable? Americans have shown that they will not hold Trump accountable for anything he does…

  22. Voodoo_Masta on

Why should he? He’s never been held accountable for anything in his life.

  23. Why doesn’t someone keep him away from a phone, podium, the media, microphone, etc? Isn’t that in the best interest of his own party at this point? Like, why is it so obvious to some people that this guy is losing it, yet everyone else is in denial? I would imagine the people close to him IRL must be aware that he doesn’t have the cognitive capacity to run the country.

His unmitigated and unedited rhetoric should seriously be seen as not only a security issue, but a global embarrassment. How can all the civil servants with years of public service in his orbit be so passive in all this?

  24. unique_name5 on

    Why would he be?

He’s never faced any consequences for anything, and he never will.

He’ll die of old age at 120 and be mourned as a great American hero by 1/3rd of that disgraceful country.

  25. Trump is melting down over Iran telling him no. He’s never had to deal with that before so his choice would be to murder 95 million people. And congress is just going to let him? And the army is just going to do it? And no one has leaked the Epstein files yet? There has to be SOMEONE ready to crack and take him down? Please?

  26. Hold every soul in the administration that conveys any info in an email, text, or tweet regarding war crimes accountable.

  27. LatelyPlatonic on

And yet there is not anyone in this country who will do what’s necessary to stop him. Which means we are ALL perfectly willing to commit war crimes.

Congrats, America. You are just so damned exceptional.

  28. Weird_Rooster_4307 on

And this is the guy that can authorize the use of nuclear weapons without anyone there to stop him

  29. BuddhaLennon on

Because he believes he is untouchable, and every experience in his pathetic yet magically charmed life has told him he is untouchable.

  30. SnooHabits281 on

Sounds like a REALLY GOOD time to start running that ad with former servicemen/women in Congress talking about not following ILLEGAL orders.

It’s fcking time for the silent majority of the GOP representatives to realize that they are just as responsible for this MAGA shtshow (DOGE, authoritarianism fantasy / worship, racism, ICE, dismantling of separation of powers, etc…) as the MAGA cultists.

A respected 3rd party, not a high profile Democrat, needs to sit with these GOP members and remind them that in every (?) example of people and instituions standing up to Trump and this Administration they have prevailed. Not saying its always been easy. But those who have acquiesced and attempted to placate Trump have realized they are stuck

  31. Mind-of-Jaxon on

Does this surprise anyone? He has never been held responsible for anything a day in his life. He has been impeached twice and nothing happened.

  32. OriginalCDub on

He’s never experienced a single lasting consequence in his life, so of course he doesn’t expect to face any here.
