„Sie werden einen hohen Preis zahlen“: Trump behauptet wild, die in den Iran geschickten US-Waffen seien von den falschen Leuten behalten worden

What is wrong with this guy? He shouldn’t be allowed within a hundred yards of a position of authority (or school, for that matter).
Wild to go on TV and actively cop to your administration being so stupid that it gave weapons to terrorists in order to foment an uprising in another country, then the terrorists just kept them.
The incompetence displayed by this administration is only outdone by their depravity
The civilians are the ones paying the “big price”. Not the ones in power..
He makes Operation fast and furious look like ocean’s eleven.
The Kurds deny recieving any guns, of course they could be lying, but there is no verified proof that the US actually sent guns, only that they were in talks with the Kurds.
Was it just me hallucinating or was there a party going on in the back while he spoke?

Idiot
So, arming rebels in Iran would have made sense as a CIA op after the mass protests and killing of protesters.
But it’s an unofficial gamble, not official policy or some sort of treaty. It’s pretty absurd to complain your smuggled armaments aren’t being used like you thought they’d be.
Operation Slow and Furious
Whoops! Hate it when that happens
This is insanity. Why is our president allowed to do this!? Who talks like this? He is a psychopath.
“Don’t blame us, we’re stupid” is quite the defensive strategy.
I just hate it when I supply guns and my middleman rips me off by keeping them. Just kidding, I’m not a gangster, nor am I grossly incompetent.
>“I sent a million quid to a random group of people and confirmed that I wanted to do this action, but I didn’t want to do this. It’s not my fault. I’m going to express my annoyance on TV. Thank you for your attention to this matter.“ – President Nonce
So either he lied or he was so incompetent that he armed the wrong people. And this is the person 70 million people have sworn absolute fealty to.
So are we now going to attack the Kurds and Iranian opposition?
Wait wait! wait – you sent weapons to this wrong people? I mean there’s incompetence and then there’s you guys
Imagine if China sends weapons to pro-CCP group in Taiwan to do an ‘armed protest’. Alex Pretti was shot because he is armed, but US is fine with arming protesters in other countries
I don’t understand how people still follow him… even if I want hate and suffering for others I would still want a somewhat cohesive and sane person to lead me… I don’t get it.
Fucking idiot
If I were the Kurds, I would absolutely make empty promises to the Trump administration and then take freebie firearms and then basically tell them to get bent.
Actually letting yourself becoming the US’s pawn again so they can backstab you again would show every one for all time that you are utter chumps.
What goes around comes around right?
Lunatic ramblings and – if not an outright lie – the implication of gross incompetence in executing the sort of operation the US has a notoriously poor track record with? Just another day in Trumpland, I guess.
Can you imagine if Biden did this? He would be immediately impeached by both parties
I miss the days when scandals like this would be enough to end a government
Y’know, if this is true, for the amount of times we screwed over the Kurds when they have been our closest ally I say we just chalk this up as a gift and apology
What staggering idiot and a embarrassment to all.
When the US sends guns to Iranian revolutionaries to fight their government, isn’t that literally state sponsored terrorism?
So we’re threatening the Kurds now?..
Every time he opens his mouth it proves just how dumb he really is as well as the people that believe him.
I saw a few weeks ago, an interview between a representative of Iran and a flabbergasted Fox News host. The Iranian claimed the CIA armed Iranians to overthrow the government and those are the deaths reported from the protests, the students killed were armed by the Americans to overthrow the regime. I understand it could be propaganda but I have seen that man speak before and he’s obviously highly intelligent and it doesn’t seem he would risk his platform to outright lie, like our administration absolutely loves to do.
So, allegedly Trump got those students killed then used it as an excuse to invade Iran. He never cared about the people he has had it out for Iran since his first term, he wants their land and resources, so he can make money.
“Lets give a bunch of guns to a previously friendly militia, who we just so happened to sell out and leave for dead, and ask them to pretty please smuggle them into Iran for us”
Can’t see any fault in that plan
But I thought more guns made everyone safer? /s
Oopsie poopsie
Iran Contra 2: Camp Tardicaca
Isn’t this just Iran-contra again?
That nigerian prince is going to pay a big price if I don’t get the money he promised me!
Haha, the irony of Trump sending Kurds guns meant for the Iranians a few months after he abandoned the Kurds in Syria, only to be shocked that they kept them.
Maybe if you hadn’t been an unreliable ally to the Kurds a few months ago (again, after Iraq 1991, Iraq 2003 and all the other times we promised to help them in they helped us only to not follow through) then the Kurds would have been a more reliable ally this time. Shit if there was a Kurdish state you’d definitely have an ally with a land border with Iran to use as a jumping off point.
Instead you abandoned the Kurds (again) for an Iraqi government that was eventually totally penetrated by Iran, a Syrian government run by a former Al Qaeda member, and a Turkish government with ties to Moscow.
Keep the guns Kurds. It’s the least we could do.
The Kurds are probably our best ally in the Middle East. Sadly they’re just not a strong ally, relatively speaking. Mostly because we seek intent on keeping it that way.
