  1. Impeaching him a third time is all well and good. But without a guaranteed conviction in the Senate it’s just pissing into the wind.

  2. I support using the 25th amendment. He is unqualified, along with his whole regime. And they all need put in prison and the money they stole returned to the people.

Print it on a gold medal. Tell him he won the Presidency All Time Award for doing such a big boy job and he gets to go home early.

So, what would your thoughts on doing this in say January or February of 2027? If I am not mistaken, if Trump is impeached then it means that JD Vance gets the reins and is still eligible to be POTUS for two terms, a possibility that he’s POTUS for about 10 years.

Personally, I think this plays a bit into the hands of the GOP. They can blame the Democrats for impeaching and removing Trump and then that might help Vance to keep the MAGA cult in his corner, which means he continues to have a built in voting base.

  5. Seriously though, as stupid as he is, what does impeachment really accomplish?
The dude was already impeached during his first term, what came out of that?

  6. virgil_of_the_brooks on

Impeachment is a funny way of saying ripping this fascist fuck, all his goons, and all his sycophants from power and parade them on the streets in shackles. These fuckers deserve to face justice without mercy-once convicted then can rot in jail for eternity. No funeral for these fucks

  7. Intro-Nimbus on

Not more? Insane. These people would support Pol Pot if he ran as republican.

  8. Avid_Reader87 on

It won’t matter if they don’t convict and imprison him and strip his family and all those in the GOP of their ill gotten wealth.

  9. woodenblinds on

I am sure most of the GOP leadership is down for it but they just want someone else take the heat

  10. I don’t know why it’s not closer to 100%. I feel like I’m living in a different world.

  11. It’s a waste of fucking time. Not only is there ZERO chance the Senate convicts (Just like the last two times), by re-electing Trump, the American people have clearly shown that they do not fucking care if he is impeached in the House, no matter how many times it happens.

We need to move past this nonsense of focusing on things that require Republican help.

Let’s start identifying the craziest, pettiest, most unafraid, efficient lawyer in the fucking country to make the US Attorney General in 2028 if Dems win the White House. Let’s have the state AGs that are Democrats actually start looking into what they can actually do to hold people accountable in their own states.

He is not going to be impeached. No matter how many fucking articles are written about it.

  12. Raise_A_Thoth on

Who are the 16% of democrats who fucking don’t?

And 45% of Independents? What the fuck are they thinking?

I understand the sort of rational notion that impeachments that are doomed to fail are politically risky, but in the abstract at least most voters should want that fucker impeached.

  13. DeepSubmerge on

So we can, again, watch him be impeached without any real consequences?

  14. westergames81 on

I mean sure, go ahead since we know it really bothers him but nobody should kid themselves that it would actually result in anything.

He is a convicted felon that has been found to have sexually assaulted women who has defrauded multiple charities so much that he is barred from running charitable donations in New York and has been impeached twice.

A third impeachment would bother him personally, but wouldn’t actually do anything.

  15. Fidel_Costco on

They should only impeach if they can secure a conviction. Anything short of that amounts to theater that the electorate will punish the Democrats for.

  16. RealBeefGyro on

I certainly do but only if you can secure a conviction in the senate. Otherwise it just hands him power.

Now if republicans lose the senate in November, which polymarket has at 50 50 chance (although that’s way better than it was even a few months ago), they may get scared enough to jump off his wagon and maybe yuu can throw the bum out.

  17. Why we would want the Senate to further empower him by officially clearing him of all charges a third time is beyond me. It’s already backfired catastrophically twice (Yes, I know. “If we just lose one more impeachment, that will really show him”).

If we’re going to impeach, we should take the model of a successful one. Nixon’s impeachment wasn’t moved forward until they had the votes to convict, which actually forced his resignation

  18. Maoleficent on

Yay, we’re saved. He’s live on tv now slurring about rescued soldiers and a bunch of feckless cowards from his cabinet are fellating him in front of the nation. No mention of strategy.

  19. Who the hell are they polling? And who the hell is the polling people/company. I would tell you 100% of Dems want him more than impeached…

  20. That 16% is not a democrat. They just don’t want you to know they vote republican.

  21. MissAmericanDream_ on

I don’t think there are enough votes in the Senate yet to actually remove him from office through impeachment ☹️

  22. I think what is remarkable about this headline is… what does Trump need to do for even republicans to say, this guy is unfit for office?

  23. Made_Human_Music on

Hopefully the remaining 16% of Democrats don’t support impeachment only because they want something more serious, which he absolutely deserves. We’re way past the point where impeachment is enough

He needs to be in prison yesterday and tried for sedition. And no MAGAt judges this time, let him face a real judge who actually cares about the law

  24. What I really want is [redacted]. Fuck the 16% of democrats who don’t support a minimum of impeachment.

  25. E-Blackadder on

As an outsider, and genuine question:

Does it matter if he is (edit:) being considered for impeachment for the 3-rd time this run (or until now)?

I mean over the years the impeachment stories have gone so linear with him, it just sounds like the political version of ‚yeah he did some ugly stuff but can’t yet throw him in the bin‘ kind of stuff.
