Absolutely amazing to watch. The NASAArtemis II astronauts have now beat the record of Apollo 13, going further in space than any human has ever gone before. Incredible!
Among all of the constant terrible news on Earth, a truly remarkable step for our entire species in space.
Quick, lets hide the earth before they get back, will be hilarious
In another title, NASA Artemis II astronauts are officially farther away from Donald Trump than any other human has ever been.
time to randomly shoot myself into space just to spite their record and the sooner I do it the longer I’d probably hold the record
/s
finally some good news after constant bad news
wow what an amazing distraction from the ineptitude and corruption on earth.
The pedant in me wants to point out that this is living humans only as some of Clyde Tombaugh’s ashes were put on the New Horizon’s probe to Pluto and beyond.
Nah. I was several hundred million miles away from here a few months back…
I hope they have some movies for entertainment. I suggest: ‚Lord Of The Rings, but every time Sam takes a step towards Mordor, he says: “One more step, and I’ll be the farthest away from home I’ve ever been.”‘
It’s hard not to be inspired by the crews fortitude. The thought of being that far out that is utterly terrifying to me.
how many ten foot pole is that?
Do they even want to come back? Would they want to come back? I wouldn’t, but they are still somewhat tethered to the Earth. 😞
sobbing at the beautiful tribute they gave to commander reid wiseman in proposing to name an unidentified bright spot of the moon after his late wife, carroll. their group hug as the came together in that moment in support of reid was beyond words.
humanity at its finest.
Lucky bastards
*outside of a Grateful Dead concert.
How exactly? Other missions landed on the moon. This one isn’t. What’s so special about this?
I may just misunderstand what they are doing, how are they further than any human has gone before if they are heading to the moon, but we have already had people reach the moon?
Can someone explain how the heck they more farther than Apollo missions astronauts ?
If they take one more step, it’ll be the farthest from home they’ve ever been.
I too would like to be as far from here as possible
Well done lads. Enjoy it and work hard. Come home safe.
Lucky.
Lucky!
I just wish that the world could be peaceful. I wish that the Middle East could become peaceful, Ukraine and Russia, the far east, Africa, the South America’s and the USA. We hold so much hope as a species, I wish that one day we could all unite and live in harmony.
This is the kind of unprecedented news I want form now on.
For those asking about how it’s the furthest, I’m pretty sure it has to do with the trajectory from which they launched the rocket.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but they are essentially slingshotting around the Moon which requires them to swing out further than previous manned rockets.

You know one of them has to be trying to be the FURTHEST from the earth than the others lol. Like 3 siblings fighting in a car.
Wow, that’s fantastic! Where are Epstein Files?
The saddest thing that this would be front page news in any other administration. But sadly one man is taking all the oxygen.
Let’s start WW3 and blow up the planet for a laugh
Do we know which astronauts have been farthest from the sun?
This is the sort of news I like.
So let’s create a scenario. If they were to stay in space and not come back to earth.. How many generations would it take for them to be considered aliens?
Cue Star Trek classic series theme music.
Not yet. According to the live tracker it will set the record in 15 hours.
Take that, Jim Lovell!
Solid choice
If I was on there I’d place myself at the very back of the ship so I could say that I was the furthest from earth technically lol
This is the farthest humans have gone that is publicly acknowledged. Humans have traveled much, much further from Earth.
LFG!!
