  1. Considering one of the chief complaints of recent Jags has been electrical problems, this is funny. But they absolutely did need to do something bold like this or the brand will die.

They’ve never been very good at internal combustion so sure, why not.

  3. idk how the brand goes from the once XK-120 to whatever the hell it is now… legendary downfall.

At this point just sell a universal electric chassis and you can purchase your favorite car skin.

Great. Perhaps they can partner with BYD and buy their electrical systems from them.

  6. Have they recovered from that really bad ad yet? The last news I heard from them

I still can’t believe how badly they fumbled. They created a world class beauty with the F-Type which should have been a rebirth. They couldn’t follow that up with a fantastic full-size or SUV?

It’s a Jaaaag. So every new electric vehicle will come with 100′ extension cord in the trunk so that it can reach the neighbor’s outdoor outlet.

I wish they found a middle ground. I dont know how much morgans are in demand but. Make a electric, carbon tub modern suspension version of XKSS or E type 60. Engineers work on new projects and jaguars old heritage that makes it barely sell keeps afloat with something unique. A brand fully focused on electric vintage cars.

  10. I don’t want to hear anything about „losing their way“ or Jaguar is ‚x“.

The old cars are already made. Let them do what they think is best. No one is gonna make you buy one. If companies never changed their goals we never would have had the Mustang.

Hate on EVs if you want but don’t pretend we were two years away from the E-type 2029. They were never an enthusiast brand. They are targeting the exact same market demographic they always have.

Between a crappy woke marketing agenda and tone deaf technology strategy that alienates their consumer base, Jaguar will be done in 10 years tops.

  12. Waymo uses the iPace so I’m sure that’s a huge part of the shift. Gonna be a lot of production demand as they expand to new cities.

Cool but who’s is gonna buy the Roblox car? Their design team is a joke

  14. They have forgotten the 1st rule of Jaguar design:  The car has to carry two full stets of golf clubs, their owner, in a better style than a Mercedes.

It makes a lot of sense. Jaguar isn’t exactly a road trip car. So drivers should be the least concerned about range and charging speed. Just make a good car that is fun to drive.

  16. I’m fine with Jaguar going all electric, but those concept images are pure boxy ass. Give me an electric XK12 convertible and I’ll make this my daily driver. But I’ll never go anywhere near this awful concept.

  17. It’s too bad. The aj133 supercharged v8 in my ‘21 ftype R convertible and my ‘24 F-pace svr is fun, rowdy, fast, and extremely reliable as are both those vehicles. I’ll be driving them as long as possible maybe keeping the f type as a collector car and may not purchase another jag if electric only. My old ‘16 f type had the AJ 126 supercharged v6 which is also a very reliable engine and lots of fun to wring out.
