  1. I wonder whether OP has any qualifications that make his claim justified?

Is he a sociologists with a valid degree? If not, he should be banned.

  2. We have a problem here, that people with a degree in theology are talking about sociology, or other combination not matching their field.

Now defining the influencer will become an interesting law challenge.

On surface it seems ok, but if you think about it then all it takes to spew anti-science bullshit is to get a degree in relevant science area – which I know is not that difficult as one would think.

Not to mention that this gives authority to disgraced scientists – we even had recent example of it: [https://www.termedia.pl/mz/Golik-skrytykowal-Cichosz-tytul-profesora-zobowiazuje,65088.html](https://www.termedia.pl/mz/Golik-skrytykowal-Cichosz-tytul-profesora-zobowiazuje,65088.html)

On the other hand it could affect true science enthusiasts like Dawid Myśliwiec or Kasia Gandor (and both have degrees, but often speak outside their specialization).

This sounds more like a clever way to censor things that are not good for Chinese government rather than actual way to improve social media communication.

But does it also mean, that if you’re completely uneducated then you’re qualified to post anti-science content?

There is no such thing as good censorship. “Bad” information can only be countered with “good” information. Silencing people is never healthy for a society. If someone is really wrong in the internet, you can always post some good arguments in the comment section, record your own video why the person is wrong, etc. But limiting the freedom of speech, in any way, is wrong.

It’s dumb, there is no easy way out of it.

We had a professor of dairy technologist spewing BS about food on Rymanowskis youtube channel.
On another hand we have Astrofaza youtube channel, I believe he doesn’t have a astrophysics degree, and yet it’s a very good and quite reputable channel.

  8. I am for example listening to podcast of prof. Gościwit Malinowski, he is professor of classical philology but in his podcasts he is also talking about archeology and history, mostly about ancient and early medieval times, so this should be illegal? Lots of podcasts in different fields are started not by expert but by promoters because most of academics is just focused on research and they don’t have time to run their own shows.
If you take a look on a history of science many breakthroughs was made by outsiders. First computer (Colossus) was build by Alan Turning and Thomas Flowers and one had degree in mathematics, second in electrical engineering but none of them had Computer Science degree.

  9. As long I remember (I’m 47) never meet or hear about successful businessman after financial education… usually it goes separately, I mean degree is not guarantee that you will be successful and sometimes there are totally dumb people with titles!

It sounds good at first, but I actually think it’s stupid. So just because I didn’t study a topic I can’t give advice based on my years of experience? This just seems like a way to censor things.

I’d prefer if instead they introduced a label for those videos, clearly showing when it is an expert speaking and when not, but completely banning it I don’t like.

  11. No. We need to ban influencing entirely. Why would a brat with no brain cells even earn money by spamming other people so they can maybe follow some other person? I will never use the word influencer as a non insult.

  12. Dumb ass take. We are not a dictatorship, democracy must be based on free speech and it must be preserved regardless of what you think of others‘ opinions
