      If they have planned for this type of scenario for 40+ years, and the US screws it up with Irans regime and such still in control, why end it now?

      With Trump unwilling to put boots on the ground and wanting to save face, Iran and its friends can extract more concessions by waiting it seems like

      In an interview with the AP, Iran’s Culture Minister Seyed Reza Salehi Amiri called Trump “an unstable, delusional figure” and said Iranians do not take his statements seriously because they often change.

      It’s insane to me that Iran’s Culture Minister, not exactly a bastion of truthfulness or reliability, has more insight than half of Congress, most of our media and at least 36% of Americans. Most Americans have just accepted that Trump is an insane POS an we do nothing about it.

      The last 2 times Iran came to the negotiating table US/Israel bombed them and killed their negotiators. I wonder why they might be reluctant now…

      Trump and co. seem to have missed the fact that the people in charge in Iran fought and survived an eight-year total war with Iraq.

      We’re talking Iraq using chemical weapons, Iranians strapping themselves with explosives to attack tanks, years of trench warfare, the tanker war in the Gulf, and hundreds-of-thousands of Iranian dead.

      They’re not going to roll over because of a month of airstrikes.

      I don’t like Iran but fuck me America what have you done. You’ve made Iran seem the most reasonable player in this conflict.

      I think however this ends it will likely be the end of the petrodollar for the US and that will be a legitimate defining moment for them losing global power.
