    Guten Abend, ich habe dieses Geschenk aus Zinn-Zinn-Zinn erhalten. Ich muss wissen, ob es sicher ist, daraus zu trinken, da es Blei enthält. Hilfe!

      I would use it for decorative purposes only. Especially with really old mugs there’s a higher chance there is some lead in the alloy.

      It’s a pewter mug made out of 94% tin between 1945 and 1990, the text below the couple reads „Old Heidelberg, you beauty“.

      I wouldn’t drink out of it, because pewter mugs are known to cause a metallic taste in your drinks. Especially with carbonated drinks. Lead should be less likely, but could be, if the mug was made for decoration purposes only. There are no indications of this being the case though (like a stamp saying so).
