Hallo zusammen, ich wollte nach einer Situation fragen, die heute (an Ostern) hier in Breslau passiert ist.
Wir leben schon seit 8 Monaten hier. Jemand hat unseren Kinderwagen von unserem Parkplatz in der Garage geholt. Sie hinterließen eine Nachricht, dass sie es ausgeliehen hätten und es am Abend zurückgeben würden – ohne jedoch eine Telefonnummer oder andere Kontaktdaten zu hinterlassen.
Ich habe in einer lokalen Facebook-Immobiliengruppe gepostet und der Kinderwagen wurde innerhalb von 30 Minuten mit Entschuldigung zurückgegeben. Ich habe auch die Person zur Rede gestellt, die es zurückgegeben hat – sie hat sich sehr entschuldigt und sich dafür entschuldigt, dass sie weder ihre Telefonnummer noch ihre Daten hinterlassen hat.
Wird ein solches Verhalten hier in Polen als normal angesehen?

that’s wild behavior anywhere, not just in Poland. the fact they brought it back quickly and apologized kinda saves it a bit, like okay at least they realized they messed up and didn’t double down on it, but still… you don’t just take people’s stuff without permission. most people here would never do that, so don’t take this as some cultural thing, it’s just one person being weird and making a dumb decision. I guess you just ran into someone who had a questionable moment and hopefully won’t try that again 😭

That’s not even pushing it — that’s just straight-up stealing. I’d be seriously pissed if it was my daughter’s stroller, and I suspect vast majority of people would have a huge problem with that kind of “borrowing”.
If it was your younger teenage brother who got his teenage girlfriend pregnant… maybe expected. Otherwise, not normal.
