This is why domestic abuse also tends to include isolation, education denial, and prevention of independent access to resources, aimed at maximizing vulnerability.
The attack on We the People has been extreme and encompassing because we are so strong and resilient and clever. If they block 100 exits we will find the 101st.

I’m starting to come to the belief that part of the reason that they make military life so unpleasant is so that people leave the military with a distaste for their fellow service members and it’s a mechanism to keep veterans from uniting.

While obviously media & propaganda can shape people’s worldviews, the “trauma” from seeing bad things on the news happen to other people is really of a completely different character and magnitude than actual personal *trauma*.
