  1. As a 25 year old woman, I must say that nearly every friend I have is unemployed.

Finding a job these days is very challenging for gen z, and a huge chunk of us are also in some way or form too ill to work as well.

Being on aap for example seems to be very common

If you could Google this, what is stopping you from googling Norway’s numbers? 😑

Quick search told us 4.5%, but i dont think they include people on AAP from NAV. This is people declared unfit for work, due to sickness or other issues making them unable to be a part of the workforce.

700,000 are on benefits and people on benefits are not counted as unemployed. 20% is probably more accurate in unemployment

Have been unemployed for 4 months now. About 700.000 people of working age in Norway are out of work. So the unemployment rate is always much higher than what is officially published.

  6. The city I’m from (Harstad) has at the moment 1,3% unemployment, and the Troms region in general has similar unemployment levels. If you are struggling to find employment companies there will more or less hire anybody with a heartbeat.

The diagram doesn’t show how unemployment was measured. If unemployment is measured differently by country, it may not be comparable.
