You can fit 19 European countries inside most countries. The Microstates help a lot.
Vatican City, Monaco, San Marino, Liechtenstein, Malta and Andorra are just 1000 Km² combined. You won’t need to count the island territories like Jersey or count Cyrus as two countries to fit 19 in France, Ukraine or Spain that are also european countries.
I just did the math, the size for a country to fit 19 eurooean United Nation member states is 366834.5 Km². I would say is the minimum but if you count not fully recognized states like Faroe Islands or Kosovo it can get a lot smaller.

I hate when this is done to countries that are mostly desert or snow, its irrelevant.

The land area of Saudi Arabia is 2,149,690 km^(2) and the total area of the countries placed within its borders is 1,114,185 km^(2). That leaves 1,005,505 km^(2) empty.
Egypt at 1,001,450 km^(2) would fit in the remaining space, ignoring the shapes of all the countries.
The remaining 34,055 km^(2) could probably contain all the micro-states of Europe comfortably and is just shy of Taiwan’s 35,980 km^(2).

It shows how big Saudi Arabia is and at the same time it also shows how powerful the European economy is. The Netherlands alone beat Saudi Arabia, add Belgium and Switzerland, which is then population wise on the same level as Saudi minus the oil and they wipe the floor with them business wise.

You could fit all of Europe (excluding Russia) into Canada and have space left over for India

It’s crazy how lots of famously small things can fit into something that’s well known for being big. Really makes you think.

Why did you put Bosnia inside Croatia in the wrong orientation?
