      What’s the advantage of the GCAP vs. SCAF? Japan/UK/Italy vs France/Germany/Spain?

      I would suspect that the former is going to still be integrated in the US defence production system.

      The observer status opens the door us to possibly become a partner and gain access to the technology, along with us being able to manufacture the jets here.
