      It’s a shame Musk didn’t just sell off Tesla so they could just focus on making cars people want and building out great charging networks.

      But he needs it as part of his hype black box to maintain the absurd stock fraud with magical future blockbuster products that are always just around the corner.

      This signals a collapse in the „I bought it before i knew about Elon“ sticker business as well. They can now only sustain a limited market presence servicing existing customers with replacements.

      Sell them to SpaceX at markup using IPO liquidity, and have them on assets. 

      Voila, TSLA up, SpaceX with assets and bag holders everywhere.

      For those that think this stuff never matters for TSLA –

      It’s already 27% off the highs. More telling though is that it didn’t participate in this week’s rally with the rest of the market.

      Sellers don’t seem to be coming back.

      I’m cautiously optimistic that it may finally be happening.

      He will just force the government to buy them with taxpayer money. So much of his wealth comes from government subsidies and he owns the White House.

      It’s really a shame that musk’s image drove Tesla to this point. I honestly think teslas are great platforms and their supercharger network is an unbelievable achievement. All that hard work and dedication from thousands of individuals seemingly down the drain by the whims of one egotistical person. Such a shame.

      This is all a total non-factor. The article is clickbait.

      The number one best selling EV in North America is a Tesla. The number two best selling EV in North America is… another Tesla.

      Tesla sold 360,000 cars in Q1. Let’s say that is 90 days. That’s 4000 cars per day. So those 50,000 cars sitting in overflow lots represent around 12.5 days worth of sales. So while it sounds like a lot, it isn’t.

      the only way i’d drive a tesla is if it was given to me for free.

      Elon has tainted both, heck ALL of his companies for me. Tesla, SpaceX (starlink), X/Grok. I refuse to use his stuff. He’s a world class D, which i simply cannot support.

      My turning point on his was back in 22/23′ when he disabled starlink during the Ukrainian offensive which brought much of it to a hault while allowing russians to use this tech.

      IMO his companies need to be banned from federal funds, subsidies, investigated, and in the case of starlink should be federalized.

      F him and the horse he road in on.

      Elon stuff aside; maybe don’t charge premium prices for a vehicle that doesn’t feel premium at all.

      Poor QC from leaks, to trim issues, to doors and windows not aligning or having big gaps, constant recalls, changing of models from lifetime to subscription and retroactively clawing back on features, and a truck that is awful at being a truck.
      With the economy the way it is, there’s a lot of people who are cutting back spending, so it makes sense that they’d consider a cheaper alternative to a Tesla or something in the same price range that isn’t riddled with issues.
