My take is that he’s desperate to rope in anyone – Europeans preferably – so he can bail out as soon as possible saying „we did our part, now they get to do the easy part“. Itching for an excuse.
Sycopant Trump is, his inability to respect even his GCC patrons despite they have financed his campaign speaks a lot of volume. He has lost control of Iran. The only ally Trump receives is Israel.
