Holy shit. I did not see Mark leaving SM or NCT. He feels like such a central part of their branding. This does explain why the Dreamies were all so emotional at their concert.

    2. Holy shit, Mark. I know this can’t have been an easy decision. He’s worked harder than anyone. I hope fans will be understanding and supportive.

Seems like their final concert in Seoul being so emotional was pointing to this. He started so young and is a complete veteran in the industry despite being only 26. Wishing him the best but as a long time NCTzen, this has pretty much gutted me.

So in the span of a month—

      Heeseung left Enha

      Mark left NCT

      and Manon (likely) leaving Katseye.

Can someone please explain to me what the fuck is going on…?

    5. I’m a longtime NCTzen and I did not see this coming whatsoever. I’m really getting tired of heartbreak after heartbreak. This is really so unexpected. As my favourite group is NCT 127, I don’t know what to feel. This was supposed to be their year…their big comeback. Oh my.

    6. I didn’t expect Mark to be leaving. That’s why all the Dreamies were so emotional at the last day of their concert.

    7. No wonder they were all crying so much at their recent concert 😔😔😔😔

WHAT THE??? I can’t believe this is happening. Is this why the Dreamies were so emotional?

Reading the notice he is not just leaving SM but also leaving NCT in general. This cant have been an easy for him and I wish the best in his goals but also Im so sad I love NCT

    10. So that’s what’s been going on.. honestly Mark has been worked to the bone from such a young age. Never seen anything like it in all my years of kpop. He deserves peace and a lighter schedule. Whatever happens from here, I want it to be in his best interest.

WHAT. I just read a thread the other day about how Mark was the least likely of all SM artists to leave. This is insane.

Girl, I thought there was a group called Mark and couldn’t believe my eyes that it’s actually Mark from NCT leaving what. I didn’t know I’d see the day, damn

    13. never in a million years did i think this would happen? out of everyone from nct not renewing their contracts, i was not expecting mark… sure he’s been overworked for years, but this is so unexpected…

You know what, I wish him the best and I hope he’s doing well mentally and physically. You just never know what goes on behind the scenes.

Mentally sending Mark the best regards. It’s clear from this statement from SM that this was a decision Mark deserves to make for himself as he pleases. I’ve been a casual Mark supporter for almost a decade and he’s blown me away time and time again. He seems like an awesome dude and I know he will go far in whatever he does next. VIVA LA MORKLEE

ETA: in case it sounds like i only like Mark and not the rest of NCT, that is false. i like NCT a lot.

    16. oh wow. when’s the last time an idol left sm and full on said they’re leaving the group as well? I feel most that leave on good terms also leave with saying they’re still part of the group and they’ll work with their new company to do group promos.

    17. The_Red_Curtain on

It’s so crazy to me he that he’s straight up leaving the group, I’m so used to idols leaving SM but still cooperating for group stuff. It never even occurred to me that such a key SM idol would leave like this.
