Stagecoach already have their own app with this feature in my region.
Do other bus companies not already do this?

One way to boost bus use would have been to keep the £2 cap on ticket prices. I guess being able to see my bus on Google maps, rather than following the reliable lcd board in the bus stop, offsets that

So now I can stand watch my bus arrive late, rather than standing there like a dickhead knowing it’s late…

We have this with First buses up here but it’d be nice to have it natively on google, us next pls.

I’ve been tracking busses from an app (not always Google) while outside London for at least a decade. Good that they added the data to Google Maps I’ve been using it for a few months now works just as well as the other apps so one less app needed.

I was doing this on Citymapper more than 10 years ago….

Bustimes.org already offers this, it’s great.
Adding to google maps sounds good too though.

This doesn’t work. I have had ghost buses just drive past before.

Currently living in South Korea where *all* buses across the country are trackable conveniently in real time on (several) single apps, and all but the smallest bus stops have electronic screens giving accurate bus arrival times, it always seems mad to me when I visit home that the (accurate) j
information seems much more difficult to get and that I’m left standing at a bus stop scanning the horizon like it’s the 1990s.

Manchester ALREADY does this. Catch up, slow pokes.

I’d just rather they make sure the buses are marked as cancelled in good time. So many times I’ve been waiting and had the bus never turned up.

Citymapper has been doing this for years and is a much better app
