Wero wird in Luxemburg Realität. Ich freue mich wirklich darauf, Visa und Mastercard loszuwerden und diesen US-Unternehmen den Mittelfinger zu zeigen.
Hoffentlich geht die Abkopplung der USA weiter und wir werden unsere eigenen Lösungen entwickeln.

Hands up if you still call it digicash.
Which is tbf – the best name out of all three.
We won’t soon get rid of the US companies. Even if Wero is broadly adopted, the countries where we can use it are limited, so people will keep the cards for travels. It’s however a better alternative and good for competition.
Sadly, it won’t replace VISA/MasterCard completely because it’s not a credit card system. But at least it’s a start.
