I feel like the only reason Easter isn’t observed as a federal holiday in the US is because it always falls on a sunday and the federal government is already closed anyway.
I’m not sure if „federal holiday“ translates to other countries very well. It just means that the federal government employees have the day off. It doesn’t mean that Easter isn’t recognized as a holiday or anything like that. The purpose of „federal holiday“ is to note when that level of government will be unavailable during regular business hours.

The map is wrong. Easter is a national holiday in Egypt and it’s combined with ShamElNeseem, a 3,000 year old celebration that we celebrate till today.
