      The states run the elections. 

      BUT he is hoping someone will sue so they can escalate to the SCOTUS in the meantime.

      I’m looking forward to the next president signing an executive order to immediately put Donald Trump in prison despite whatever pardon he might give himself. If he doesn’t like it, fine he can go ahead and try to sue his way out while he rots there waiting for the process to slowly work its way through the legal system.

      1. Write a nonsense declaration
      2. Get sued
      3. Keep the suit tied up in courts as long as possible
      4. When elections inevitably happen while the suit is ongoing, claim that there was confusion about legality of some votes and use it as a pretext to throw out the election results

      Time to do away with EOs. The Executive Branches‘ job is to enforce laws that the Legislative Branch passes.

      He can put in any „Executive Order“ he wants regarding elections, but they have no efficacy. There’s no legal requirement for any state to abide by them.

      I think he’s hoping for MAGA lunatics in state governments who may try to put his EO’s into policy.

      1) Only *Congress* can change national requirements or processes for elections.
      A Presidential EO cannot.
      2) The Heritage Society is behind this crap. That organization must be banished from the US.
