Pakistan is mostly sunni and Iran is mostly shia, these two sects do not like each other, also, as a well recognised sponsor of global terror and a country actively sponsoring terrorism and a well documented genocide of hindus in India and bombing civilians in Afghanistan, who is often seeking financial support frim the USA and the world bank, this seems merely a PR stunt to get some attention and win some brownie points from USA and the islamic population.

Iran has categorically refused any Pakistani mediation or attempt to broker something between it and the USA.
